Le Bout de Monde / Theatre Oriental Vernissage Concert II, Vevey

After several solo albums, Mark Kelly realized he was missing something: the energy and emulation that a band brings. He wanted to be challenged and pushed by others to improve himself and his music. Today, he returns with The Peaceful Warriors , a full band, with an album that speaks of personal growth, forgiveness and the power of change. Through 11 inspiring and warm-sounding tracks, he explores sounds ranging from folk to Afro-pop, including country. The Peaceful Warriors was born in November 2020 at the Casino de Saxon (Valais, CH) during a founding residency. But the history of the group goes back much further: each musician had already collaborated with Mark over the years, building solid friendships along the way.

Together, they've managed to blend all these influences into a sound that's uniquely their own, coherent, and singular. This musical diversity is also reflected in the lyrics: throughout the songs, Mark talks about resilience, hope, and the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. He evokes the need to be shaken from time to time by truths you don't always want to hear, and the desire to grow for yourself... but also for others.

At the Oriental foyer, the bar opens at 7:30 p.m.
